Code of Conduct

The Art + Code Collective is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate. Participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the meetup at the discretion of the organizers.

Expected Behavior

• Participate in an authentic and active way.
• Exercise consideration and respect in your speech and actions.
• Attempt collaboration before conflict.
• Be respectful of the space, tools, equipment, and materials.
• Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior and speech.
• Preface your presentation with appropriate Trigger/Content Warnings, if necessary.

Unacceptable Behavior

• Verbal comments that reinforce social structures of domination related to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, and religion.
• Intentionally lewd or sexually exploitative images in public spaces
• Deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, or use of physical force
• Disruption of talks or other events
• Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior and speech.
• Unwelcome sexual attention
• Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behavior

Reporting a Violation

If someone makes you or anyone else feel unsafe or unwelcome, please report it as soon as possible to the organizers. Harassment and other code of conduct violations reduce the value of our event for everyone. We want you to be happy at our event. People like you make our event a better place.
